Amber. The One True City. All others worlds are but Shadow, flawed copies of her grace. Even our own Earth is no better than a pale mockery of her perfection.

Amber. Ruled by a jealous and backstabbing family. Princes and Princesses squabbling over the most minute scrap of power. There is no heir to a throne long vacant, and the family plots and plans to see themselves upon it.

Amber. To be born a prince or princess of the royal crown is to be born with great power. Amberites can move easily throughout shadow, as well as bend it to their will. The most powerful of Amberites can destroy or create new shadows at will. They could destroy us with barely a thought. It wouldn't keep them up at night, either. After all, we aren't real.

Amber. An amazing sci-fi fantasy series by Roger Zelazny that has spawned its own role-playing system. With more intrigue than any other game out there today, Amber has won my heart. It is both my favorite book series and my favorite RPG.

Whether you are a gamer or not, I suggest you pick up the books and read them. The world created by Roger Zelazny is amazingly rich and powerful. It is well-crafted, more so than any other fantasy world I have created. It steers away from the usual fantasy clichés, elevating the genre onto a whole different plateau.

And it has the best villain ever.

And a warning to those of you who have not yet read this series: You may want to steer clear of the 'Games' and 'Characters' pages, because they contain 'spoilers' that may give away the plot. A whole lot of the plot, in fact.
